Yaw Tog; I won’t finish my education in Ghana I want to become a citizen of the UK.

Yaw Tog has stated his aim to leave Ghana permanently in order to acquire British citizenship.The 19-year-old drill star, who graduated from Opoku Ware Senior High School in Kumasi in October of last year and is now a Free SHS graduate, claims he has no plans to pursue his education in Ghana.

Yaw Tog said when asked when he will continue his education, “I don’t want to go to school [university] in Ghana.”
Yaw Tog claims that he has applied to universities in “the UK and the US,” adding, “you know there’s no option for me beyond these two.

When asked if he’d go back to Ghana after finishing his four years of school, Yaw said, “Oh absolutely.
No doubt.I’ll be a citizen after I leave, therefore

He stated, “I know the ways to be a citizen there,” when asked if he intended to do this through a romantic engagement with a partner in one of the afore mentioned nations.
He said, “In twenty years, maybe, I won’t be in Ghana,” revealing what led him to pursue citizenship abroad.

The Ghanaian musician claims that although he would like to keep his Ghanaian citizenship, he also wants to add another one because he needs “a change of environment,” which would include not just frequent trips to the West but also a permanent move.

With his drill tracks, Yaw Tag has managed to burst into the mainstream and win thousands of fans. When Ghanaian-British rapper Stormzy and Kwesi Arthur joined the remix of the song, Yaw Tag gained a broader audience.

This year, he received two important honors.
With “Sore,” he took home the “Hiphop Song of the Year” honor at the 2021 3Music Awards as well as the “Best Hip-Pop Song of the Year” honor at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Awards.

Additionally, Yaw Tog holds the distinction of being the first Ghanaian singer to ever exceed 1 million YouTube streams for a music video within the first three days of its release.
