Clement Bonney, often known as ‘Mr. Beautiful,’ a well-known Ghanaian comic performer, has spoken out on the contentious issue of polygamy.
He expressed support for the practice, claiming that it is often misconstrued by those with low financial capabilities.
During an interview with Property FM in Cape Coast, the Kumawood actor stated that polygamy is just a burden for guys who are struggling financially.
According to Mr. Beautiful, wealthy men do not consider having numerous wives to be unnecessary, meaning that resistance to polygamy is frequently motivated by economic considerations.
“In this world, if you don’t have money and people talk about having multiple wives, you would see it as a pointless issue.
“When you’re broke or poor and they discuss people who have married two or three wives, you get angry and say it’s stupid. But if you were rich, you’d realize that having multiple wives is actually quite enjoyable,” he stated.
