Derrick Kobina Bonney, often known as DKB, is a popular Ghanaian comedian who has made a sincere discovery that has resonated with his fans.
At 38 years old, DKB said that he still does not know his father, a genuine disclosure that sheds light on a highly personal facet of his existence.
In a tweet seen by Ameyaw Debrah Media, the award-winning comedian claimed that he had been imploring his father to send him his photo whenever he had the opportunity to speak with him on the phone. However, his father was unable to do so, claiming a lack of resources.
DKB stated that he learnt that his father works at the Registry of Catholic University in Sunyani.
“At 38 i still don’t know my father. Appreciate yours no matter what. finally called him, he wasn’t in Accra, I begged him to send his pic or selfie, he said his cameras disposition isn’t progressive 😂
“Last I heard he works with the Registry of Catholic University-Sunyani,”he wrote.
This disclosure occurred in reaction to a post by Ghanaian socialite Gisela Amponsah, who described her father as a demon.
On the Rants, Bants, and Confession podcast, panellist Efia Odo asked her about her connection with her father, and she went on a tirade.
“I don’t even want to talk about that man because I don’t want to give him the clout. I have never rated him. I’m very disrespectful towards my dad, and I am not even going to shy away from it.
I respect and love my mom so much, but for my dad, I don’t even think he exists. I don’t like talking about him because he is a demon. When I say men are trash, it starts from him,” – she stated without mincing words.
Gisela went on to say that her father has disliked her since childhood, and that their bad relationship did not begin today.
“I feel like all my trust issues and not knowing my worth at some point in life all come from that man. How can I have a father, an actual dad, and I try to talk to him and he tells me not to talk to him?
