Emerging artist Nana Yaw, also known by his stage name Wyllbee, from Sowutuom, is said to have died tragically after being attacked at Abuakwa-Tanoso, Ashanti Region, while purportedly spending the night at his girlfriend’s house.
Unbeknownst to him, the deceased traveled from Accra to Kumasi to spend a few days with his sweetheart, who was living with her in-laws after being married to a man abroad. This information was reported by
EDHUB on X.According to reports, Wyllbee didn’t tell any family members about his journey, according to the grieving family. He reportedly got up to go to the bathroom outside at around one in the morning on Friday, July 5, 2024, when he was approached by some compound home residents who thought he was a thief, according to EDHUB.
According to additional reports, the deceased told his assailants that he wasn’t a criminal and that he had come to the residence to spend time with his girlfriend; however, the girl reportedly denied knowing him in order to preserve her marriage. After a tense altercation broke out and the neighbors learned that a thief had been apprehended, Wyllbee was severely beaten.
His family was notified of the occurrence early in the morning, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Sadly, after being sent to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for more medical care, he passed away from his wounds.
Both Wyllbee’s admirers and the neighborhood were taken aback by his unexpected passing. Authorities are urging calm as they look into the facts surrounding the tragedy and try to determine what happened to cause the unfortunate outcome.
