Two Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia due to a variety of health issues.
The victims, thought to be from Damongo in the Savannah region, died on Sunday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 12, respectively.
Over 4,000 Ghanaian pilgrims are now in Saudi Arabia doing the annual Hajj ceremony.
Alhaji Ben Abdullah Banda, Chairman of the Hajj Board, confirmed the occurrence to Channel One News, saying that the two were buried according to Islamic norms.
He also stated that a Ghanaian pilgrim had given birth in Mecca on Wednesday.
“So far so good, except that we have had two deaths, two of our pilgrims have died. And then we have had one delivery also, one of our pilgrim women has delivered a bouncy baby,” he said.
