On Saturday, June 8, 2024, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, brought his campaign at the Tema Fishing Harbour’s Canoe Wharf.
He interacted with a variety of wharf operators, including traders, fishmongers, fisherman, fish processors, owners of canoes and other equipment, among others.
He told them that his administration would seek to revitalize the fishing industry by ensuring that critical supplies, such as premix fuel and outboard motors, were provided to the landing beach committees and chief fishermen.
The NDC leader also pledged that artisanal fishing will be exempt from the closed-season legislation.
Mahama also stressed the significance of taking quick action to rebuild the Ghanaian economy, avert inflation, and work together to build the Ghana we want.
