Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is the chosen Presidential Candidate with 38.9% in the 2024 general elections, according to a study conducted by Professor Smart Sarpong, Director of Research and Innovation at Kumasi Technical University.
The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, is trailing with 36.1%.
According to the study, Bawumia leads Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono, Central, Eastern, North East, Western, and Western North.
According to the report, all other Presidential hopefuls are gaining up to 3.6%.
According to the survey, approximately 21.4% of prospective voters have yet to decide on a presidential candidate as of the end of April 2024.
The North East region has the most determined support for the NPP’s flagbearer, with 60% of voters backing him. While 75.7% of voters in the Volta area have decided to support Mahama.
Data collection for this baseline study lasted 30 days, from April 1st to 30th, 2024.
