Despite his compassion for everyone under his rule, the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, claims that LGBTQ+ activities constitute a “affront” to him because he is a traditionalist and Christian.
He told Fred Duhoe of Citi News in an exclusive interview, “I think the West should embrace polygamy. Why do they believe polygamy is wrong and support same-sex relationships?
“In response to a query about whether he believes President Akufo-Addo ought to sign the anti-LGBTQ+ bill into law, the Ga ruler stated that it is not a matter that requires his focus.
The anti-LGBTQ+ bill, which was passed by Parliament, has been the focus of debate and a legal battle that is presently pending before the Ghanaian Supreme Court.According to the Ga Mantse, it is inappropriate to discuss people’s privileges and preferences.
“I love everybody,” he emphasised. He wants issues regarding polygamy to be of interest to promoters of LGBTQ+ countries.
