The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has pledged that the nation’s fight against corruption will be won by the party’s next administration.
According to him, this malignancy has to be addressed since it is seriously harming Ghana’s economy.
On Monday, May 20, during a meeting with the Christian Ecumenical Council, Mr. Mahama emphasized that his administration will take action to combat and eradicate corruption.
The effects of numerous instances of theft, cost inflation, sole source contracts, financial mismanagement, and funded but abandoned projects are starting to become the rule rather than the exception. The Pwalugu multipurpose dam project, which was expected to require an expenditure of over $1 billion, was brought up by MPs recently.
After an award, the contractor received $12 million for doing exactly nothing. I could provide a great deal of examples.
“I swear unequivocally that the administration I lead will battle and ultimately vanquish corruption.”
