Francis Asenso Boakye, the Minister of Roads and Highways, has encouraged contractors who have stopped working at several building sites in the Eastern Region, causing road projects to halt, to resume their work.
The Minister conversed with these contractors in turn to learn about their difficulties while on a two-day working tour to the Eastern Region.
Asenso-Boakye said his ministry will collaborate with the contractors to allow them to accelerate work on the stalled projects in a Koforidua media interview that concluded the first day of his tour of the area.
“Construction is going on in most areas that I visited, but there are areas that we realised that the contractors have abandoned sites.
“We have engaged them and we have understood their problems and we are going to work with them to ensure that they can go back to site and expedite the process and complete the work”.
