Due to a technological issue, registration of first-time voters has yet to begin at the former Electoral Commission (EC) headquarters in North Ridge in the Korley Klottey constituency.
As part of the ongoing limited voter registration drive, the center houses Korle Klottey and other constituencies.
Prospective voters are consequently pushing the EC to fix any difficulties impeding the start of registration.

As of 11:30 a.m. on Monday, no prospective voters had been registered due to challenges with defective machines and the network.
The 21-day registration drive aims to register more than half a million voters nationwide.
The exercise began today (May 7) and will end on May 28, 2024.
In an interview with Citi News, a 21-year-old nursing mother who arrived at the facility at 8 a.m. expressed her unhappiness with the procedure and urged the EC to rectify the issues as soon as possible.
“I came here like 8 am and the machine too is not working and they said they were bringing a new machine to do it for us and what they are doing here is not good and I feel so bad. We want them to come and do the registration for us.”
