Ghanaian Kumawood Kwaku Manu, an actor, has revealed that he has chosen not to establish friends in the film industry because of ingratitude. In an appearance on the Spectacle on GTV, the outspoken actor Hagar Owusu spoke candidly about the many times his acts of charity resulted in treachery. He said, feeling disappointed,
“I can’t recall anybody that I have helped that has shown gratitude for my good deeds. I can count 10 people off the top of my head who repaid my kindness with evil.”
Notwithstanding his unfavorable experiences, the comedic actor reaffirmed his dedication to helping those in need in the business. “I still continue to help them even though they repay my good deeds with evil,” he emphasized.
The actor-turned-presenter also issued a warning against accepting helpers into one’s house, citing personal experiences that he had learned.
“I’ve learned from this experience over the years so I always advise people not to accommodate the people they want to help because they might turn their back against them,”
He suggested.
In addition to providing insight into the inner workings of the film industry, Kwaku Manu’s open observations serve as a sobering reminder of the difficulties involved in navigating relationships in the midst of good deeds.
