Keli Gadzekpo, the board chair of the Ghanaian Electricity Company (ECG), has resigned.
The resignation is effective right away. It is said that he resigned for private reasons.

In order to play a strategic role in ensuring energy sufficiency, Keli Gadzekpo was named to the Board in 2017 by Boakye Agyarko, the then-energy minister.
With over 20 years of expertise in investment banking, Mr. Keli Gadzekpo is an entrepreneur who has contributed to the development of numerous businesses, most notably the Databank Group of Companies, which comprises Databank Asset Management Services and Databank Epack Investment Fund Ltd.
In addition, he serves as Chairman of the Databank Foundation, the Databank Group’s corporate social responsibility division.
At the moment, Mr. Gadzekpo serves as the CEO of Enterprise Group Limited, which is made up of numerous businesses, such as Enterprise Trustees, Enterprise Life, and Enterprise Properties.
In addition to ECG, Mr. Gadzekpo is a board member of the Bank of Ghana, the University of Ghana’s Institute of African Studies, and the Nature Conservation Research Centre (NCRC), an NGO that promotes rural ecotourism and community protected areas to support resource conservation and economic development.
