Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, better known by his stage name LilWin, has stated that he is willing to apologize to his colleague Martha Ankomah in order to settle their disagreements in a civil manner.
LilWin said in an interview with Oyerepa TV that he wouldn’t find it difficult to apologize to Martha for his earlier remarks regarding her character. He compared the act of apologizing to something that happens frequently, pointing out that even the president extends an apology when needed.
“Even the president apologises, so how much more me? That will not be a problem…” he said.
LilWin further disclosed that he is not perturbed about the legal suit, stating that he was not sued for engaging in armed robbery or murder.
“I am not worried because if you are imprisoned for stealing or committing murder, that’s a disgrace. But once it has to do with the work, there is no problem,” he said.
LilWin was sued by Martha Ankomah for allegedly damaging her reputation on social media after he had attacked her harshly.
Martha said in her writ of summons that the actor’s remarks were, among other things, falsehoods disseminated with malevolent intent.
She is requesting $5 million in damages from LilWin for the aforementioned defamatory remarks.
On February 8, 2024, LilWin launched an unprovoked social media diatribe against Martha Ankomah for supposedly routinely declining offers from filmmakers to appear in Kumawood, the Twi film business.
