Rapper Captain Planet has made a strong appeal to the young of Ghana, telling them to forgo feeling of patriotism and take advantage of possibilities to leave the nation in search of better opportunities outside.
He claims that politicians in Ghana put their personal interests ahead of the wellbeing of the people, accumulating fortune abroad while ignoring the demands of the general public.
The former member of the 4×4 music group advised people who were lucky enough to leave Ghana not to return in a thought-provoking message posted on social media platform X (previously Twitter). The message emphasized the lack of concern from leaders for the well-being of the citizens.
Captain Planet declared, “Your future is not secured here,” advising people to put their own needs first and avoid sacrificing themselves for a country where government leaders put their own interests ahead of the general good.
This message is being delivered at a time when rising commodity prices and mounting discontent with government performance are challenging Ghana’s economy.
