Rapper Meek Mill from the United States has stated that he would like to become a citizen of Ghana.
Following his performance at Afro Nation in December 2022, Meek Mill has consistently emphasized his love for Ghana.

The rapper, who was born in Philadelphia, claims he wants to move to Ghana because he feels that America is too restrictive of Black people’s advancement.
“I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear black men down if you don’t follow orders!” he tweeted in an X post on March 4, 2024.

The rapper played at Ghana’s Afro Nation music festival in December 2022.
The pinnacle of his trip to Ghana was a meeting and meeting with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.
Meek Mill has not held back from expressing his love for Ghana, even though he provoked public outrage by filming parts of a music video at the seat of government. He has since apologized to Ghanaians for his actions.
Over time, he has expressed his desire to go back to Ghana and work with some Ghanaian musicians.
Following claims that he was named in a lawsuit brought by a former employee of rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs, Meek Mill has recently gone on a social media rant.
Multiple reports state that Meek Mill was included on a list of redacted names associated with gay sex adventures with Diddy in the lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
However, Meek Mill has refuted the accusations in a string of X posts, hinting at a scheme to discredit his laborious efforts as a Black American.
