Already, Airbnb offers designations like “Superhost” and “Guest favorites” to denote the caliber of a host or a property. For the top 25% and top 1% of properties on the listing page, the company is now adding a new label.
Airbnb typically publishes updates in the winter and summer, twice a year. However, the travel agency has decided to offer a spring update as well this time. This rollout includes the new top property badge, which is based on metrics such as subcategory ratings, sentiment in reviews, host cancellations, and issues with quality-related customer service.

Additionally, the business is designating properties in the bottom 10% as being of low quality by attaching a badge to them. Airbnb reported that it has removed 100,000 properties from the platform since introducing an updated hosting quality measurement system in April.
The business introduced a feature to order reviews by highest rated or most recent in November of last year. Its most recent update also includes the feature of sorting reviews by lowest rating.
AirBnB already has two property labels: “Guest Favorites,” which comprises two million of the top properties out of the 7.7 million properties on the platform, and “Superhosts,” which is based on metrics like ratings across their properties and cancellation rate. A property may theoretically have all three labels, but it is difficult to determine which label is more significant than the others due to overlapping underlying metrics.
