The results of the 2024 presidential election will be made public by the Electoral Commission (EC) three days after the polls close.
In order to announce the results at the regional level, Regional Collation Centers will be kept open, per the Electoral Commission’s Timetable of Activities for the 2024 elections, which was made public by the Daily Graphic.
In the meantime, in a significant countdown to the pinnacle of the political season, the EC will accept nominations of candidates for the 2024 polls from September 9 to September 13.
On September 23 and 24, 2024, respectively, there will be voting for positions on the presidential and parliamentary ballot papers.
The EC has scheduled a voter registration drive for the general election of 2024 from May 7 to May 27, 2024. Additionally, on May 30, a nationwide initiative to replace misplaced voter identification cards will be launched.
On the other hand, from April 1 to May 26, 2024, there will be 56 days of public education prior to the registration drive.
The Election Commission (EC) intends to send the provisional voter registration to the political parties between July 9 and July 18, 2024, and to host an exhibition of the voter register from July 15 to 24, 2024.
The final voter registration is expected to be sent to the political parties between August 30, 2024, and September 5, 2024.
