Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, a Member of Parliament from Sunyani East, has been named as the Presiding Speaker for Friday’s parliamentary session.
This development resulted from the absence of Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin and his two deputies, Joseph Osei Owusu and Andrew Asiamah Amoako.
According to the new standing orders, the Clerk of Parliament nominated Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh as Presiding Speaker.
Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip, proposed the nomination, which was seconded by the Minority Chief Whip, Governs Agbodza.
