The Ghana Police Service (GPS) is carefully getting ready for this year’s general elections, according to ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of the Public Affairs Directorate.
She emphasized that the service’s employees are receiving training.
She said that in order to guarantee a free, fair, and peaceful election process, the GPS is working with other security agencies.
She said these things on Tuesday during a “Face to Face” interview on Citi TV with Umaru Sanda Amadu.
“We are preparing vigorously towards the general elections…We are orienting our men, we are working with the other sister agencies. Enough personnel will be deployed,” she stated.
Adding that “Ahead of that, we would do a lot of engagement across the country so that all stakeholders (will be on the same page).”
