Ghanaians both inside and outside the nation have been reassured by Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare that there won’t be any incidents over the Christmas season because the police are prepared to guard people and their possessions.
The Police Chief is especially pleading with other citizens and Ghanaians living abroad to choose Ghana as their destination because they would be completely safe there.
“We want to assure you that this Christmas will be awesome. I assure you that the police will give you a double overdose of security.
“So Ghana is ready, to all the tourists I want to assure you that Ghana is ready, the police is ready, come and enjoy our hospitality. We will protect you and all your belongings,”
the IGP stated at a meeting with TUC leadership on Wednesday at the Police Headquarters.
As part of the security measures leading up to the holiday, the police administration continued to interact with important stakeholders.
The team engaged members of the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union and the creative arts business on Tuesday, after the IGP and the police management board met with a few Muslim leaders on Monday.
