Samini, a Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artist, has openly blasted rapper Sarkodie yet again, calling him disrespectful and two-faced.
Samini expressed his displeasure with Sarkodie’s actions, particularly his partnerships with older artists.
During an interview with host Berla Mundi on The Day Show, Samini claimed that he had approached Sarkodie about collaborating, but received an unsatisfactory reaction. When pressed on the matter, Samini alleged that Sarkodie dodged the subject.
“You can’t take Samini lightly anyhow,” he asserted during the interview. “Until he shows remorse and comes to me to say, be like the way I do Badman ‘I be like ano try, Badman vex and come and make ano say, ano try,” he said.
In the conversation with Berla Muni, he continued that “until then he and I we no be cool….He is a two-faced person who will make the public believe I don’t know what I am saying on Twitter when I actually know what I am saying and then I come and ask you questions and then you can’t answer”.
Samini underlined the value of senior artists in the industry, especially for emerging artists. He wished to convey to young artists that disrespect should not be allowed, especially when experienced artists desire collaboration.
“I want young artists to know that it’s not okay to be disrespectful. When you’re asked about something, don’t try to mislead people and make them think the complainer is making things up,” Samini explained.
“I responded to him based on how he treated me before, which made me doubt his respect for legends like myself. Having a ‘blue tick’ doesn’t mean I should assume you respect me after you’ve played games with me, despite my quick response to your requests.”
This public feud stems from Samini’s earlier accusations about Sarkodie failing to react to his collaborative request for the 2021 Burning-EP, which he shrugged off in a radio interview.
Samini stated that he gave his part to the song “Love Rock” for free, but when he required Sarkodie’s assistance, he did not receive it.
