Broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko, also known as KOD, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Akufo-Addo administration.
KOD, who formerly backed the NPP, has stated that he will vote for the NDC in the 2024 election.According to him, he backed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 general elections, but owing to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s terrible administration, he will not vote for the party in the next elections.
The Ghanaian broadcaster bemoaned the situation of the Ghanaian economy, believing that it might have been better than it is now.
Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) claimed in an interview with JoyPrime on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, that the Akufo-Addo-led government had failed the country miserably.
He went on to say that he would not vote for the NDC in the national elections in 2024.
“It [Akufo-Addo’s administration] could have been better. This is supposed to be our best time in Ghana and it is one of the reasons why I supported his campaign in 2020. I don’t think he has done well,” he said.
He further stated “In the next election, I won’t vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but would rather do so for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).”
His statement came in response to questions from Ghanaians on whether he is impressed with the Akufo-Addo-led government.
Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) was a fervent supporter of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and was actively campaigning for the party during the 2020 national elections.
