Okailey Verse, also known as OV, a former Bhim Nation signee, has disputed media rumors that she is a drug addict.
She claims that she is not a drug addict, as some Ghanaians believe, and that many people have mistakenly judged her based on her appearance, which she claims is far from who she genuinely represents.
This was revealed by the former Burniton Music Group signee while appearing on Kwaku Manu’s Aggressive Interview. She does not consume any alcoholic beverages other than wine, according to her.
“I have never smoked or indulged in hard drugs. The only thing that I love is wine and people close to me can testify. I have never smoked in my life,” she stated.
This is not the first time Ov has addressed rumors about her drug use. It will be remembered that the ‘Want ME’ hitmaker revealed to Giovani Caleb on 3FM that she battled depression for years, which finally led to a mental breakdown and a two-week imprisonment.
She went on to say that things became worse for her when she was inadvertently given an overdose of medicine, which rendered her paralyzed for two weeks and forced her to step away from the music industry to fully heal.
The ‘Want Me’ singer, who had been out of the profession for a while owing to health and personal concerns, has returned and is gradually making an effect on the music world.
In the last several days, she has granted interviews and addressed certain concerns that she had kept to herself.
OV has already spoken about how her partner abandoned her on the day of their wedding to fly abroad, and she has even challenged Ayisha Modi, a close friend of her old record label, to offer evidence to some of her outlandish charges.
