Hon. John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, flagbearer candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), believes he is the finest candidate to defeat Mahama and the NDC in the 2024 elections and build the next NPP government.
The former Trade Minister was convicted after meeting with all delegates from the Ashanti Region’s 47 constituencies ahead of the party’s Presidential Primaries.
Mr. Kyerematen, who toured the region meeting delegates in Durbars for a week, said he is ready to challenge John Dramani Mahama and urged delegates to elect him NPP flagbearer in order to push the bitter pill of loss down Mahama’s throat.
He promised that if he is granted the mandate to lead the party to the 2024 elections, he will ensure that the party receives two million votes from the Ashanti Region alone, in addition to support from other areas.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, he claims, is no match for him since he has outlived his capabilities and has nothing new to offer Ghanaians.
According to the former Minister of Trade and Industry, Mahama’s track record as vice president and president demonstrates that he is a poor economic manager.
As a result, he requested delegates’ votes in the NPP primaries so that he may use his knowledge and vision to assist Ghanaians.
He feels that a contest between Mahama and himself would make it easier for the NPP to obtain at least 54% of the votes cast in order to ‘break the eight’.
Alan Cash, as he is commonly known, stated that it is necessary on delegates to select a leader to resuscitate the economy in the same manner that it existed when President Kufuor left office in 2009.
He stated that the decision of delegates to appoint a qualified individual to carry out effective and efficient measures to address the crisis gave them the authority to revitalize the economy.
According to him, the solution to Ghana’s economic problems resides in his Great Transformational Plan, which he describes as the ideal intervention to see Ghana flourish again.
“I can assure delegates and Ghanaians at large that l will bring hope to Ghana because l will deliver”, Mr. Kyerematen has assured.
