KiDi, the renowned musician, recently talked out about the upsetting experience he had when incorrect information spread that he had suffered a stroke during a period of illness.
KiDi spoke candidly on Daybreak Hitz at Hitz FM about how the false reports damaged not just him but also his family, friends, and the brands he works with.
KiDi voiced his annoyance at witnessing fake news spreading like wildfire across social media and numerous venues when the rumors first surfaced. The influx of worried phone calls, including one from his frightened mother, contributed to his agony during the incident.
KiDi took the incident seriously and pondered pursuing legal action against the bloggers who shared the fake news. He confided in Richie, the CEO of Lynx Entertainment, about the recurring nature of such damaging stories. KiDi could see that certain people were taking advantage of such situations to their advantage.
“When it happed I called Richie 9CEO of Lynx Entertainment) and asked ‘how many times or for how long will these things happen and we will say it’s nothing? How long will we have to keep doing this? People are taking advantage obviously as you can see’. There needs to be some course of action,” KiDi said.
KiDi and his team opted against pursuing legal action and elected not to pay any attention to the negative news after careful consideration. Instead, they concentrated on dealing with the problem appropriately and productively.
KiDi had to cancel his March 2023 North American tour due to health problems in February, without disclosing any specifics. Unfortunately, this sparked suspicions and speculation, with some thinking he had a stroke. Lynx Entertainment’s Richie Mensah quickly disputed these allegations, highlighting that they were purely clickbait.
