Victoria Lebene, a Ghanaian actress turned entrepreneur, has addressed the public’s misconceptions regarding her views toward fellow actress Yvonne Nelson after voicing her thoughts on Yvonne’s recently released biography, “I am not Yvonne Nelson.”
Due to its mention of certain significant figures, the memoir, which was released on June 18, 2023, provoked considerable astonishment and sparked intense internet discussions and arguments.
Victoria, the wife of Ghanaian blogger Nkonkonsa, expressed her thoughts on the topic, saying, “Do you think we would be safe in this world or country if everyone came out to tell a story of what people have done to them every step of the way?” do you think we would be safe in this world or country??? Don’t pretend to be a saint when you aren’t!” she wrote on her Instagram story.
Victoria’s words, however, drew a rapid criticism from fans who disagreed and called her out on her viewpoint. Victoria Lebene reiterated her argument in an exclusive interview with Graphic Showbiz, adding that she does not carry animosity toward the “Princess Tyra” actress, despite their previous falling out over her husband’s article about Yvonne.
Victoria respected Yvonne’s right to express herself, but voiced discomfort about the memoir’s intimate revelations. “I don’t despise Yvonne in the least. I just think she went too far with some of the private information she revealed. “I’m not saying Yvonne shouldn’t express her feelings, but she should have been more careful about how she did so,” she stated. The mother of two emphasized the need of considering others involved in shared situations, as they may also require healing. While discussing personal experiences might benefit in healing, she noted that it is critical to be cautious of the explicit nature of certain disclosures. Individuals referenced in the book, like as Sarkodie, have since become big celebrities, and specific discoveries could have an influence on their families and brands, according to Victoria.
Victoria emphasized that not everyone is as resilient as Yvonne Nelson and that some people may suffer with such revelations. She expressed a desire to create a book in the future that would focus on uplifting and counseling people rather than digging into explicit personal experiences.
“If I have to write a book, it will be one that empowers and advises people.” I don’t think I want to offer a memoir about how I had sex or how many abortions I had; it doesn’t make sense. But that doesn’t mean I dislike her; this is just my opinion. It’s fine if it’s a book-selling tactic, but we should consider the sensitivity of what we say and do from time to time.”Victoria Lebene sought to clear the air in her exclusive interview, underlining her worries about sensitivity while clarifying that her views toward Yvonne Nelson are not motivated by hatred but rather by a need for thoughtful contemplation.
