The practice of polygamy has been accepted by many communities for a variety of reasons, and it has been a part of human culture for ages. There are others who contend that polygamy can be a legal and satisfying way of life choice, despite the fact that it may be considered unorthodox in many parts of the world today.
A well-known religious figure, Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has openly discussed his views on having two wives and is steadfast in his defense of his decision.
The senior pastor of Life Assembly Worship Centre, who also serves as a lawmaker, recently admitted that he is now married to two women on UTV’s “United Showbiz” program, adding that he sees nothing wrong with that.
He explained by saying, “I currently have two wives. There’s nothing wrong with it.”
More forcefully disputing the prevailing view that it is unchristian for a man of God to have more than one wife is the founder and leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM).
“To me and the spirit within me and my powers that I have . I think it’s enough for me. “I can handle it, that’s why I’m doing that the two is okay for me, ” he said.
