Afrobeats Superstar Davido has made hints that this year’s Afro Nation festival will be held for the first time in Nigeria.
This revelation was made by the “Fall” hitmaker, who is presently on a promotional media tour for his new album, “Timeless,” during an interview with Hot 97.
“Afro Nation is going to Lagos for the first time, so that’s gonna be fire,” he said.
After revealing in an interview on Asaase Radio that he had been informed that other nations have expressed interest in hosting events like AfroFuture (formerly Afrochella) and Afro Nation, the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyemang, made the remark.
“Other countries are pushing. I mean I know, Ruddy, talk to the Afrochella guys and Little Havana. People have approached them. Countries have approached them to bring the events to them,” he stated.Produced by Live Nation, Event Horizon, Smade Entertainment, and Memories of Tomorrow, Afro Nation is a yearly three-day music festival. The festival’s lineup is jam-packed with artists from the Afrobeat, hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, and bashment genres.
