Ernest Opoku, award-winning gospel musician, has begged the public not to be harsh toward gospel singers, pointing out that they are also human.
He claims that when problems involving gospel singers are made public, the public is always quick to condemn them harshly, and this always crushes his heart because they are exactly like the other artists.
He made those comments during an interview on Sompa FM as a response to some of his earlier scandals and controversies, particularly the well-known one involving actress Nayas.
He proceeded by saying that although Ghanaians frequently mistake gospel singers for superhumans or angels, they are actually simply regular individuals who live and work on the planet.
“The problem with most Africans is that, they see we Gospel musician as Angels but that is not true, we are just like any other person of course we are humans,” he said.
In a different interview, Ernest Opoku revealed in a different narrative that he had received a “BJ” from an unidentified woman aboard a VIP bus traveling from Kumasi to Accra.
Ernest Opoku Jr. claimed that the woman’s only explanation for her behavior was that she believed she was dreaming and that she was sorry.
