There is a misconception that Stephanie Benson, a Ghanaian worldwide singer and performer based in the UK, assists cancer patients and the less fortunate through a foundation. However, the Grammy-winning singer has confirmed that is not the truth.
She claims that while she doesn’t have a formal foundation through which she may get funding for issues close to her heart, she is nevertheless able to generate money for those in need when she can by planning shows and donating the revenues.
This clarification was provided by Stephanie Benson during an Ameyaw TV interview.
‘‘I don’t really have a foundation, I help people out of my own money, I don’t raise money, asking people to give me money, it is usually when I do a show that’s why I did a show, because I have an amount of money I spend on women who need cancer treatment,’’ she stated.
Mrs. Benson added that, on occasion, when she runs out of cash in her own pocket, she uses her singing ability to entice paying customers to come watch her perform. She then uses the money she makes to assist others.
And once my quota is met, my account won’t give me any money, so I start looking for new methods to make money. Since singing is what I do best, whatever money people pay me will go toward helping someone else.
The widely recognized singer confesses that she enjoys giving money to help others; “I love it.
She said to Zeinat, “If I could have squeezed five shows into a week, I would have done it and assisted more people, but that is what I love to do for me.
