Nana Ama McBrown explains why she left her previous employers: “I did not have a contract with them.”

Nana Ama McBrown has made headlines since she was announced as the new host of Onua TV’s morning show on Monday, March 13, signaling an official move to Media General.
The award-winning actress’ departure from her former home, Despite Media, has sparked numerous controversies.
McBrown had been off the air for several months as the host of UTV’s United Showbiz.
Her absence from the show raised many questions about her future at UTV, and her move to Media General answered many of them. While there have been numerous rumors surrounding her relocation, Nana Ama McBrown has clarified her decision to leave her former residence.

McBrown claims that while she was off the air on UTV for months, she reached out to her former coworkers to discuss her future there.
“I had told my previous employers that I wanted to hold on from December; let’s think of something new to do, that’s what I said to them,” Nana Ama McBrown told Johnnie Hughes on 3FM.
The award-winning actress, however, revealed that her request for a meeting was ignored, which fueled her decision to leave because she did not have a written contract with them.
“And honestly, I was waiting for them to call and say come let’s think about what is new. However, I don’t have a contract with anybody, so if nobody is not minding me, I have the right to move on,” she stated.
