Aside from his well-known musical talent, gospel minister Joe Mettle has had an eventful life.
Joe Mettle, a well-known gospel singer, recently stated that he met his wife online.
Joe Mettle revealed some interesting insights about his life on Wednesday’s episode of Joy Prime’s entertainment show, Prime Morning, ranging from his infancy to his current status as a father-of-one.
When he encountered Salomey Selassie Dzisa, he just felt in his spirit she was the one and observed her from a distance before making his intentions known, according to him.
Joe Mettle went on to say that he met Sellassie while perusing through his social media site.
He noticed her again at his events, and his emotions told him to make a move that he did not make.
But when Sellassie said, ‘God bless you,’ after one of his ministries, he felt it was time to act.
They married in a lavish ceremony in August 2022 after nearly three years of talking and dating.
“You know, this social networking stuff has been helpful.
Who was the first to reach out?
I believe she reached out first, which is when I stated that I had seen the person, and in my spirit, I believed it was the person.
“We’ve never met, we’ve never spoken, so she doesn’t even know I know her or anything. There was one of the events she came to, and after the event, she just said God bless you. That was it,” he said.
Joe Mettle married Salomey on August 13, 2020, in a spectacular ceremony, and images from the event were extensively shared on social media.
The couple is expecting their first child in October 2021.
