Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea, a National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate in the Odododiodioo seat, spent Valentine’s Day 2023 with the party’s local women’s branch.
He thought that women play critical roles in society, thus the necessity to make them happy.
“Our women continue to be a distinctive asset in our lives, particularly in the affairs of their respective families.
They bear the burden of their numerous houses on their backs, toiling rain or shine to satisfy everyone.
“On February 14, 2023, I spent Valentine’s Day with the strong women’s wing of our party (NDC) in Odododiodioo Constituency,” the parliamentary candidate hopeful remarked.

He also contributed roughly 100 plastic chairs to the Women’s Wing, and a total of GH20,000 was distributed to the female participants.
“I shared boxes of chocolates as a show of thanks for all their work towards the celebration over the years.
“I also contributed 100 plastic chairs and GH20,000 (Twenty Thousand Cedis) to be shared amongst the female attendees to help alleviate their burden of procuring plastic chairs for meetings,” he said.
The NDC’s Co-opted Greater Accra Regional Executive has offered to help the constituency’s Women’s Wing with GH100,000 (one hundred thousand Ghana Cedis) as seed capital for women seeking to start a commerce or re-invest in their individual companies.

“In addition to my freebies, I have agreed to invest GH100,000 in the Women’s Wing Account.
This investment will act as seed funding for women who want to establish a business or, better yet, reinvest in their existing businesses.
I will keep spreading love over hatred.
“God bless,” he said.
