Prophet Nicholas Osei a.k.a Kumchacha, the founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate International Ministries, has refuted Sonnie Badu’s recent claims that pork is unfit for human eating.
according to Kumchacha, there is no biblical proof to support the gospel musician/recent preacher’s remark that pork is impure and should not be consumed.
“In the Bible, pork is not listed among the items that degrade the human body.
I enjoy eating pork meat because it is flavorful.
So, I’ll beg my brother Sonnie Badu not to criticize my favorite,” Kumchacha remarked on Okay FM in Accra.
Kumchacha went on to explain that the Bible does not prohibit Christians from eating pork, citing passages from the Bible.It is important to note that just because one person does not appreciate a particular sort of food does not indicate that others should be prevented from doing so.
“When you go to East Legon, you see rich people queuing up with nice cars to buy pork.
Pork is consumed by the wealthy and powerful.
So no one claims that because Jesus authorized an evil spirit to enter some pigs, they are unfit for human eating.
“While that is true, the pigs ran and drowned in the sea, and fish eat dead animals in the sea, so if you don’t like pork, stop eating sea fish and let us eat our pork,” he continued. Kumchacha’s reply comes after the founder of Rockhill Chapel, Rev. Sonnie Badu, encouraged Christians to be cautious of the foods they eat in a recent social media post, warning that certain could make them easily susceptible to various devils.
Badu explicitly mentioned pig flesh as the number one dirty dish that draws demonic spirits.
He underlined that the Bible classified certain animals, especially pigs, unclean, and that as a result, Christians must avoid them.
“When the devil tries to get through to you, he must first test your spiritual appetite.
Food is the most common method witches infiltrate bodies.
Furthermore, the bible teaches that certain animals are unclean.
What do you consider an unclean animal to be?”Anything containing pork is dirty!”
“Even when you go to a Chinese restaurant and they ask for your order and you reply pork, they keep asking you just to be sure because they are aware of the type of animal you are wanting,” he emphasized.
He mentioned how devils typically operate on people who ingest filthy meals.
“When the devils learn that you have eaten something unclean, your spirit is automatically humbled.
They arrive when you go to bed because you allowed them access.”
Sonnie Badu’s speech elicited a wide range of reactions from pork fans.
