Stonebwoy, the dancehall musician who just graced the 65th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles over the weekend and had the distinction of engaging with several international artists, has encountered a slew of trolls and detractors.
The Ghanaian superstar made the most of his red carpet appearance by meeting every celebrity possible, including Taylor Swift, Lil Baby, and Fat Joe.
Many Twitter users reported that the Grammy-winning Ghanaian artist pushed his way into meeting the celebs at the Grammys.
However, musician Chase and several music fans have denounced the behavior of critics. Singer Chase spoke out against the faults in the local music industry, noting that being a Ghanaian can be difficult at times due to a lack of support.
“Some of the tweets I’m reading about Stone and how he’s approaching the game and taking advantage of his surroundings make me ashamed.
I adore Ghana, but being a Ghanaian in the entertainment world may be challenging at times “He tweeted about it.
In a separate tweet, Chase stated that Stonebwoy’s connections may lead to a duet with 12th-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift.
“Crying for our mental health!
We have to do better, because if he gets a song with Taylor, the same people will speak about it and praise him. What kind of scheme is this?
They’ll quickly change sides.”
Stonebwoy was one among the few Ghanaians who gave their all at the just concluded 65th Grammy Awards.
Stonebwoy was seen on the red carpet with a number of celebrities, including Taylor Shift.
Stonebwoy also played at the Grammy Museum on February 4, 2023, ahead of the Grammy Awards.
