Sean Combs, popularly known as P Diddy, is a rapper and record producer from the United States who has denied undermining Burna Boy’s Grammy victory.
At the 65th Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 5, South Africa’s Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode defeated the Nigerian singer’s ‘Last Last’ to win the award for Best Global Music Performance, and his “Love Damini” also lost the award for Best Global Music Album to Japan’s Masa Takumi.
according to social media speculation, Burna Boy missed out on the 65th Grammy Awards because he did not collaborate with Diddy on his “Love, Damini” album.
Diddy executive produced Burna Boy’s “Twice as Tall” album, which earned him a Grammy in 2021.
However, following Burna Boy’s loss at the 2023 Grammy Awards, an Instagram account claiming to be Diddy’s said, “I helped you win your first Grammy award out of love, and you thought you could win another without my assistance?

When a screenshot of what looked to be Diddy’s statement went viral, he responded by alleging it was fraudulent and came from a fake account.
“This is a scam,” Diddy commented beside the screenshot on Instagram.
