The new capsule brings fresh colorways of the hyped COPA Pure, a descendant of the COPA Mundial, which debuted in 1970 and remains a fan and player favorite.
The COPA Pure originally appeared at the end of 2022, when adidas released a limited-edition “Teaser” pair.
This pair was only available in a soft-ground variant and mixed the classic black and white colors with accents of Metallic Gold.
The new pack expands on the previous teaser with new colorways and, crucially, firm-ground possibilities.

adidas has maintained true to the COPA line’s objective with a focus on touch, control, and comfort for the latest COPA installment.
The boot is made of quilted Fusionskin cow leather and features a PRIMEKNIT collar to accomplish those qualities.
The two materials contribute various characteristics to the boot, which work together to provide cushioning and stability.
The new design is also lighter, with roughly 50g less weight than its predecessor.
adidas has released three new colorways of the COPA Pure, all of which honor the COPA line’s reputation for minimalist design and classic color combinations.
In addition to all white and all black, the brand has decided for a three-white-striped spin on the COPA Mundial’s famed no-nonsense black leather basis.
adidas has added Team Shock Pink accents to the heel, studs, Three Stripe branding, and the COPA insignia for the current model.
Team Shock Pink was recently spotted by eagle-eyed readers, since adidas used the color throughout the Predator Precision Archive set that released earlier this year.
That capsule included three models (the Predator Precision+, Precision.1, and Precision.3), each with Team Shock Pink accents.
The application of the color on the COPA Pure is more discreet – there’s no bright pink foldover tongue, for example – but it still indicates that this might be a standard color for adidas throughout 2023.
