This year’s Radio and TV Celebrities Awards have once again honored Ghanaian radio and television personalities.
Numerous media figures and stakeholders gathered for the event on Sunday, December 11th at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel to honor the enormous role the media has played and continues to play in growth.
The RTP Awards Africa honor media personalities and brands that inspire, amuse, and influence society.
At the recently concluded Radio and Television Personality Awards Africa 2022, Oforiwaa Oyo, host of The Dish on MX24, was named the “Television Discovery of the Year.” Oforiwaa defeated Nuong Faalong, a former coworker at MX24, as well as nine (9) other candidates to take home the prize.
Oforiwaa thanked her family, friends, loved ones, and the MX24 staff for their unwavering support in her acceptance speech after receiving the prize. She began by acknowledging the Almighty God as the first in her path.
To co-host MX Beatz alongside DJ Vyrusky and Jason El-A, Oforiwaa Oyo joins MX24 in July 2021. She was chosen to host the inaugural Miss Malaika Diaries Show on MX24 as a consequence of her perseverance and development.
She also served as the chat moderator for Ice Donis, MX24’s debut K Drama series. She currently serves as the host and spokesperson for The Dish, a female forum where provocative conversations about commonplace themes are held.
