Rapper Sarkodie has received praise from well-known entertainment expert Kwame Obeng Asare, often known as A Plus, for his contributions to the music business.
He called Sarkodie a “smart guy” whose effects on the entertainment sector in Ghana were unpredictable.
Speaking on Saturday’s episode of United Showbiz on the Accra-based UTV, A Plus said it would take a lot of time and effort for someone to achieve Sarkodie’s success.
“The limit he (Sarkodie) has raised the bar to, it will be very difficult for one to bring it back. He has raised it to a very high shelf,” A Plus said.
He stressed, “I’m very excited about how the gentleman is doing his things. I believe this year’s rapperholic will be the biggest of all, given that it has been ten years since he released that first album.”
Sarkodie is a rapper, singer, and businessman from Tema, Ghana. He has received multiple awards for his services to the country’s music industry, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artist of the Decade”
At the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards, he was declared the inaugural winner of BET’s Best International Flow Artist category.
He is regarded as one of the most prominent supporters of the Azonto genre and dance as well as one of the greatest African rappers of all time.
Recently, The “Landlord” made an appearance and gave a performance to celebrate 20 years of BBC Radio 1Xtra.
The Ghanaian rapper performed on the event, which was devoted to highlighting black music and culture, along with a few other hand-picked African musicians, and was hosted by Eddie Kadi, Remi Burgz, and DJ Edu.
