After his contract at Manchester United expired, the Portugal captain has been linked with a move to the Middle East.
Odion Ighalo, an ex-Super Eagles player, has warned Cristiano Ronaldo about a possible move to the Saudi Arabian Professional League.
Ronaldo is currently without a club after Manchester United terminated his contract following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he criticized the club.
Ronaldo’s future is uncertain.
Since Manchester United’s decision, the Portuguese star’s future has been uncertain, but he has been linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.
According to multiple sources, Al-Nassr is interested in signing the former Real Madrid attacker, and the club is willing to pay Ronaldo £ 171.4 million per year.
Ighalo, on the other hand, has warned the Portugal international about what to expect before moving to Saudi Arabia. Ighalo, who is currently on Al-books, Shabab’s believes Ronaldo will struggle in the league if he eventually joins Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo has been warned by Ighalo.
The Saudi league is thought to be uncompetitive, but Ighalo has warned Ronaldo that it is the most competitive in the Middle East.
“Before I came, I thought the league would be a pushover, but now, having played for two seasons, I know it’s one of the toughest in the region,” Ighalo told The Athletic.
“Al Hilal won the AFC Champions League in 2019 and 2021 and qualified for the Club World Cup. The league is growing faster than I expected.
More foreign players, coaches, and the federation are supporting it, as evidenced by the Saudi team,” he added.
Nonetheless, it is unclear whether Ronaldo will relocate to Saudi Arabia. The 37-year-old has yet to make a decision about his future because he is currently focused on Portugal’s World Cup campaign, in which they have advanced to the second round and will face Switzerland.
