Diana Antwi Hamilton, a multi-award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, has urged married women to avoid bartering sex for money.
Married women who take money from their husbands before having sexual relations with them, according to her, are prostitutes.
In an interview with TV XYZ, the singer also encouraged women to refrain from asking money and gifts before engaging in sexual relations with their husbands. he stated.
“If you take money from your husband for sex it means you are a prostitute”, Diana Hamilton has said adding that “If it happens that way then that is prostitution. A woman who does that is equal to a commercial sex worker”, she added.
Diana Hamilton went on to say that even if wives wanted to demand money from their husbands in exchange for something, it should not be sex.
“Why do you have to wait till sex time before you demand money from your husband? Taking money from your husband before sex is not right”, she emphasized.
In her opinion, the husband and wife are one flesh, and love is given without expecting anything in return; therefore, since both spouses have become one, they must make love freely and not sell love.
Diana Hamilton advised men who refuse their wives the responsibility of providing for them that they must do all necessary to provide for them in order to avoid anything that would damage their marriages.
“And to that man when the woman needs something give it to her”, she insisted.
Diana Hamilton married Joseph Okoi Hamilton in 2005, and the couple has been together ever since, with her spouse (a medical doctor) assisting her in managing her music business.
