Man United have confirmed that they are taking “necessary steps” in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s explosive chat with Piers Morgan.
The interview with Morgan’s TalkTV aired in part on Wednesday night, and Ronaldo went on to criticize various facets of the club, including the manager, training facilities, and even the owners. After days of uncertainty about how United would respond, the club issued a statement indicating that they had ‘taken steps’ in response.
“Manchester United has this morning begun appropriate procedures in reaction to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview,” the club said in a statement on Friday.
“We will not make any more comments until this process is completed.”
