She only needed two lines to express herself, and she did so on her new single, ‘Loaded.’
Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian superstar, released a new song at midnight featuring breakout talent Asake.
It was a Nigerian alté and amapiano fusion Afrobeats cocktail.
This comes a year after the 42-year-old songstress battled a sex tape leak that sparked public outrage.
It appears that this song was all she needed to respond to critics who had pinned her down to that one point in her life.
Tiwa enters after the first verse of Asake’s delivery track
“Sex tape o’le baye mi je, igbadun kekere yen, Na who never f*&k, hands in the air,” portions of her verse said.
“Sex tape o’le baye mi je” translates to “sex tape can’t ruin my life” in English.
According to this line, the award-winning singer says she will not let the October 2021 incident derail her career.
The second part of that line was inspired by a famous line from Kweku The Traveller by Black Sherif.
She uses that bar to demonstrate how much of her flaws she is willing to accept as a human being.
An additional 10-second skit is included with the song’s official video to emphasize the importance of this angle alone.
