According to a news release from the Forestry Commission, lions attacked, injured, and eventually murdered a middle-aged man who was supposedly an invader at the Accra Zoo.The event allegedly took place on the grounds of the Accra Zoo on Sunday, August 28, about noon. According to reports, the man scaled the barrier to get inside the lions’ enclosure at the zoo, where he was attacked by a lion.
He was afterwards taken to the mortuary after passing away from his wounds.
After successfully luring the lions into a safe enclosure, zoo officials invited the Achimota Police to transport the body and start an investigation.
